Sadiya Abjani is a seasoned professional with over 15 years of experience in developing and delivering training programs across various platforms, including in-person, webinars, and interactive online courses. Currently serving as the Director of Learning and Instructional Design at SAGE, the nation's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBTQ+ older adults, Sadiya plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational landscape for diverse audiences. Her expertise spans a wide range of subjects, including LGBTQ issues, aging, sexuality and gender, diversity and equity, and community organizing. Sadiya has a proven track record in course creation and learning management systems, having trained over 80,000 individuals and managed a team of 25 national trainers. Her work at SAGE involves creating and implementing equity frameworks, developing interactive online trainings, and managing the organization's learning management system. She has also been instrumental in strategic planning and equity initiatives, conducting stakeholder surveys to build comprehensive equity plans.Before joining SAGE, Sadiya held various roles in organizations such as the Equal Rights Center and South Asian Americans Leading Together (SAALT), where she focused on corporate partnerships, training, civic engagement, and community outreach. She holds a Double Bachelors of Art in Islamic Studies from The University of Texas at Austin, where she was actively involved in student organizations and societies. Sadiya's commitment to education and community service is further exemplified by her volunteer work with the National Ismaili Tariqa and Religious Education, where she organized and led training programs for religious education teachers across the United States.
