Nasruddin Rupani

Nasruddin Rupani is a distinguished global philanthropist, entrepreneur, and social development leader with more than three decades of influence across the United States, Pakistan, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
A civil engineer by training, Mr. Rupani built one of the largest diamond and jewelry import businesses in the American Southwest before expanding into financial services, healthcare, and philanthropy. Today, he serves as President of World’s Gold & Diamonds Inc. and US Insurance Funding Inc., and as Founder & Chairman of the Ibn Sina Foundation, the Rupani Foundation (USA & Pakistan), and Rupani Development Initiatives (RDI).
Through these platforms, he has pioneered sustainable healthcare systems, early childhood education models, skills development programs, and impact investment ventures that have transformed millions of lives. The Ibn Sina Foundation operates seven clinics in Houston, serving over 1.5 million patients annually, and launched the state’s first Muslim Mental Health & Wellness Center in 2023. The Rupani Foundation has established 200+ early childhood centers, 5 academies, and 98 mobile/community-based centers across Pakistan and Afghanistan, with several affiliated with the International Baccalaureate (IB) system. Its programs have trained 900+ educators (95% women) and directly impacted 11,000+ children. RDI and its investment arm, Apex & Co, have mobilized more than $2 billion in global capital, creating thousands of jobs in agriculture, IT, tourism, and sustainable industries.
Mr. Rupani’s leadership extends to advisory and civic roles with UNICEF, One World Bank, Baker Ripley, Tara Energy, and the Pakistan Gems & Jewelry Association, where he championed modernization and ethical sourcing. He has also served on Pakistan’s National Taskforce for Education.
His work has been honored globally, including the Sitara-e-Khidmat (Star of Service, 2024) by the President of Pakistan, the US Presidential Volunteer of the Year Award (2021), the Lifetime Achievement Award (USA, 2022), and the Global Citizen Award (United Nations Association, 2023), among many others.
